THE WORD OF PROMISE™ INSPIRES THE TROOPS

Inspiration For Today Audio Devotionals Added To Armed Forces Radio Programming

(Nashville, Tenn.) The Word of Promise™ New Testament Audio Bible is uplifting the spirits of the men and women serving in the military. Armed Forces Radio has begun transmitting 90-second “The Word of Promise™ Inspiration for Today” radio vignettes of hope and comfort to their overseas affiliates.  Each radio program features a Scripture excerpt from The Word of Promise™ New Testament Audio Bible complete with sound effects and music score, along with a life lesson narrated by acclaimed actor Michael York, based on that day’s Bible message.

“I’m excited to have ‘The Word of Promise™ Inspiration for Today’ program available for the troops. I pray that it will be a tool through which God can reach people with the Word and its encouragement daily,” commented Chaplain Bruce L. Kite at the Defense Media Center.

The Armed Forces Radio broadcast is yet another way in which the audio Bible is touching the lives of our troops. During the holidays The Word of Promise™ Christmas Story CD was selected as a gift for wounded soldiers at the Ft. Campbell Army Base in Kentucky who were unable to be at home for the holidays. The audio Bible offering was distributed during a special Christmas dinner event.

“It’s my hope that The Word of Promise™ will prove to be a blessing to all of those who hear the inspirational messages,” reflected producer Carl Amari. “Each day the men and women in the armed forces are devoting their lives for us, and it’s truly a blessing to have the opportunity to support them with encouraging words that can guide them no matter where life takes them.”

Similar uplifting messages to those heard in the radio vignettes broadcasting to the troops are available in CD format through Thomas Nelson, Inc. in The Word of Promise™ Inspiration for Today—a two CD-set featuring 40 three-minute long devotions, for a collective total of two hours of inspired listening time. Listeners encounter the Word of God in short, practical devotional segments designed for listening on the go. Much like the radio programs, the devotions include an excerpt from The Word of Promise™ New Testament Audio Bible text, an insightful reading by acclaimed actor Michael York, and meditative music from award-winning composer Maestro Stefano Mainetti along with movie-quality sound effect enhancements. The first volume has just released, with additional volumes due out in May and September.

The Word of Promise™ New Testament Audio Bible itself is a stunning world-class audio production that immerses listeners in the dramatic reality of the Scriptures as never before. This scripted dramatization of the New King James Version (NKJV) of the New Testament is presented in a compelling, dramatic audio theater format. Created by an award-winning production team headed by Carl Amari, the multi-talented cast bringing the Bible to life in this breathtaking production includes:
