Acting on a tip off by the Indian Rescue Mission, a Christian organization, the Maharashtra Police went into action. They conducted their raid after the IRM Investigation team had gathered information about a young girl who, during the investigation told one of the team’s undercover operatives of her utter dislike of the sex trade and expressed her willingness to come out of it.

According to the IRM Investigation, it was known that the targeted girl was trafficked from Andhra Pradesh State.

The police successfully rescued her out from the brothel where she was held captive and arrested the brothel owner and took custody of both of them.

According to the rescued girl, her parents were bit aware that she had been forced into prostitution and she stated that they thought that she is doing some "household jobs."

The girl also said that she sent money to her parents every month from her earnings and that she had two younger sisters.

Now the rescued girl will be produced before the court and then will be sent for medical test to determine her age.
