Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness and what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV)

In Our Weakness His Strength Is Magnified

By Paula Pinto

No matter what we face, I truly believe that the strength of our Lord is able to lift us up and capable to use every situation for His glory. As I write this, I remind myself of that.

Sometimes we try in our own strength to fix things and wind up with them becoming more broken then when we started. Does it mean that we are not wise or able to help ourselves? No!

I'm sure many reading this are highly intelligent but intelligence can never compare to the all sufficient power of God. All of our intelligence combined could not make up an ounce of the wisdom of our loving father who knows what we need and how to meet it in a way that it is no longer a concern.

Too often, when we rely on our own capabilities we find ourseleves tired, stressed and discouraged. Yet, when we fast and pray and lean not on our own understanding, it is amazing what the Lord can do.

2 Corinthians 12: 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

I don't know what you label yourself but as for me, I have stuborn flesh that too often thinks it knows what's best for me and even when I know something is not good, there's that battle to rid it, entirely from my life. However, praise be to God that in my weakness His strength is magnifide.

Where are you weak? Is it physically or emotionally? Have you been trying in every effort to "fix" you in ways that only God can do? I pray that at the start of this New Year that Jesus would meet you at the point of your need and in the midst of your weakness, give you His all sufficient strength.

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
