THE WOUNDED WARRIOR

Are you CARRYING a huge BURDEN of discouragement.. unsure whether any souls were EVER victories?

Did your day seem fruitless, or filled with missed opportunities?  Are you pondering why you should even bother to regroup for battle tomorrow?

We all have been wounded in our battle of Good over Evil!  Instead of surrendering to the enemy’s tactics of self-defeat, I would like to challenge you to consider this: Take your eyes off today’s discouragements and be still for a few minutes.  Begin to relax and talk to your heavenly Father about your problems and disappointments.

Let God’s love fill your heart and flood your soul with a new hope of a better tomorrow.

God is not a demanding taskmaster, insisting we constantly prove ourselves through our accomplishments.  As He has desired in His servants from the beginning of time, He simply wants us to persevere, renewing our strength through His Word and His Holy Spirit within us, allowing our works to bear fruit in His season not in ours.

Paul recalls this conditional promise: “And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart” (Galatians 6:9, RSV).

Recognize that you are not the first wounded and weary warrior in God’s army, nor will you be the last.  Don’t allow the enemy to let you lose heart and, in God’s time, you will become one of those victorious soldiers whose good works that you have supported in ministries will reap a great harvest for our Commander Jesus Christ.

We will Never give up! We will never surrender in our time of weakness! Together we will press forward toward our crowns and let us conquer all things that lay before us in Christ Jesus.

For He alone is our strength when we call upon Him.

Re-Charge! Re-Group!  Keep moving forward!

Father, Fill our hearts with your love and understanding. Give us strength in our times of need.  We will dwell on your loving kindness and blessings that come upon us and not on the missed opportunities and fruitless days that are for ever past.  We thank you for all things that you have blessed us with.  May we use what you have given us for your glory.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen
